How the Pinhole Technique Works

The Pinhole Technique does not involve tissue grafting, scalpels or stitches. The doctor makes a tiny hole in your gum tissue and uses a special micro instrument to gently loosen and reposition your own gum tissue to cover the exposed tooth root. He then places strips of collagen and donor tissue under the gums to thicken the gums and solidify them in place. With this technique, our doctors are able to treat multiple recessions at one time, allowing the whole procedure to be completed in just one visit.
